Introduction
Helambu Trek 9 days is a wonderful short trek close to Kathmandu Valley. Even being so close to Kathmandu, the Helambu region remains comparatively fine. As well the Buddhist Hyolmo culture of high mountain people, the company of green rhododendron and bamboo forests, majestic waterfalls, and snowy Himalayas make the trek one of most varied treks near Kathmandu. The huge Himalayan scenery at the edge with Tibet and monasteries make a trek to the Buddhist region an enthralling experience. The people living the highlands of the Langtang region are definitely the Nepalis, being the descendant of the Tibetan origin; they still look like Tibetan people and also language is similar with Tibetan people.
The Helambu Trek 9 days starts from Sundarijal, around an hour’s drive from Kathmandu. After about an hour’s hike, we enter Shivapuri National Park. Continuing along the via Chisopani, Kutumsang, Thadepati and Sermathang, the trek ends at the Melamchipull Bazaar in the Helambu region.
